Amazon Streaming Devices

Streaming is a massive business in 2020, everyone from Amazon to Google is fighting over a slice of the streaming pie, this doesn’t look to be changing any time soon if anything the trend is only going to go up.

In terms of actual streaming devices, there’s no denying that Amazon has a significant market share. This is understandable, as there are currently 3 or more products that Amazon manufactures and sells to consumers for the purpose of streaming media.

From the Amazon Firestick to the All new Fire TV Cube, they have a streaming device to satisfy most people’s needs.

Fire TV Stick streaming media player

First on our list is the Amazon Fire TV Stick. With over 500k channels to choose from and streaming in 4K, the firestick is high on most people’s wishlist when they’re in the market for a new streaming device.

Budget-friendly, with Alexa Voice assistant now included, as well as being consistently rated 5 stars across the board the firestick seems like a steal.

Smooth high-quality streaming is assured with the firestick, speed is also of no issue because of the quad-core processor.

Connectivity wise the Amazon firestick includes Bluetooth 5.0 + LE which is compatible with headphones, speakers, controllers and much more.

Featuring Dolby Atmos surround sound and with decent 8GB storage, the Amazon 4K Firestick would seem to be a no brainer for anyone looking for an exceptional streaming device at an excellent price point.

All-new Fire TV Cube

Next on our list and going up in price is the Amazon Fire Cube.

This is a great little streaming device and can be controlled by voice command. So sit back, relax and tell Alexa to dim the lights, turn on the TV and immerse yourself in your favorite shows from the comfort of your recliner.

This isn’t the only thing that can be controlled with voice command of course, everything from a compatible soundbar, to checking the weather and controlling your cable or satellite box.

The Fire Cube truly is an all in one powerhouse of a home media device. Featuring support for Dolby vision, and the ability to watch 4K Ultra HD content as well as a Hexa-Core processor and 16GB storage capacity, you can do much worse than opt for the Amazon Fire TV Cube.

Fire TV Recast

Are you looking for a new way to rewatch your favorite movies and TV shows? Then look no further than the Amazon Fire TV Recast Box.

With the ability to store up to 75 hours of HD programming and record up to 2 shows at once, the Recast really is a great device for watching and streaming content.

Featuring 500GB of storage, 2 controllers and the ability to control with a compatible Alexa enabled device as well as a dual-core processor, the only real thing that lets all the Recast down is the price.

With all the different recording and streaming options available in today’s market, can they really justify how much pricier the Recast is compared to similar devices?

Compatible Add-on Devices

Like all technology, there’s always compatible tech that can be added to your streaming device to improve your streaming experience, they’re not necessary by any means, but they really do enhance what is already an immersive experience, I’ve included some of these devices below  –

  • Bluetooth speakers
  • Soundbars
  • Headphones
  • Controllers
  • Stereo systems
  • Dongles
  • Cameras

The above isn’t an exhaustive list, but you get the picture.

One compatible device we didn’t include above is the Amazon Echo with built-in Alexa. The Amazon Echo is one of the most popular and useful voice assistant speakers there is to date.

Consistently rated 5 stars above with a multitude of features and settings the Amazon Echo connects effortlessly to any of the above streaming devices.

Play your favorite music library or control your home with nothing more than a simple voice command.

As we previously mentioned, streaming content is more popular than ever and isn’t going away any time soon. If anything, it’s only going to grow as more people watch or listen to their favorite content in new ways.

Of course, there’s a lot of competition out there at the minute from subscription TV services like Netflix to the Roku Ultra or Roku Streaming Stick+. So do your research thoroughly before making any final purchases, who knows you may just find yourself a bargain!
