Keemba Studios announces that its first iOS-exclusive indie title, Bugs vs. Aliens is getting a major update this Thursday, September 25th. The update comes with a bunch of improvements based on gaming site reviews, user feedbacks and an ingame survey – including refactored user interface, improved tutorial and straightforward purchase flow.

Bugs vs. Aliens is a 3D-action runner where players have to lead their team of Bug Heroes into battle and defeat alien invaders before they can achieve total victory! The game features a intelligent flocking character behaviour powered by physics and AI, that is highly unique to the genre. Bugs vs. Aliens offers 50+ score levels, 29 achievements and 10 leaderboards, backed by a high-score-driven team system and ingenious boosters.

Here is a short list of the refinements and fixes made:

  • Control scheme selection, improved tutorial experience
  • New character animations
  • Improved menu flow, “jelly” user interface with animated menus
  • Reaching all 29 Achievements directly from the Main Menu
  • Fixed video ad freezes
  • Price tags for all IAPs, straightforward purchases
  • Explanatory Buy Hero button

Overall user experience improvements„It was a week after launch and we suddenly ran into Bugs vs. Aliens on the Chinese store front.” – said Jacint Tordai, to-be CEO and co-founder of Keemba Studios, the not-yet-established studio behind the game. The game got featured in the Best New Games section in China and got more than 100,000 downloads and a dozen of reviews in the first month. „To us it simply meant: we made it! We got tremendously excited.” – said Tordai.
