Square Enix is pleased to reveal the first screenshots of FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn for the PlayStation® 3. Showing the visual fidelity that fans have come to expect from the FINAL FANTASY series, the PlayStation 3 screenshots from FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn also show for the first time the easy-to-use PlayStation 3 UI (user interface), which makes full use of the intuitive button configuration of PlayStation 3 controllers.
The UI will be fully customisable, allowing players to set up a button configuration perfect for their personal playing style; and has been designed with the traditional FINAL FANTASY game controls in mind to give the game a classic RPG feel, familiar to any PlayStation 3 RPG gamers.
To accompany these new PlayStation 3 screenshots, new artwork is also available, featuring some of the Primals, who will have a big part to play in the story of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn; as well as a few of the armour sets available for the Chocobo mounts available in the game.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is the latest instalment in the FINAL FANTASY series, and will release for PlayStation 3 and PC platforms in 2013.
