Hall will be on stage at 4pm on Thursday 27th September for over an hour to discuss DayZ’s transition from an ArmA II Combined Operations modification into a standalone game. He will also take questions from the audience about the game in its current and future form.

“Dean and his team are developing one of the most exciting games in the world right now, so we’re really thrilled that he’s coming over to talk about their latest work in detail,” said Eurogamer Operations Director Tom Bramwell.

The Eurogamer Expo takes place at Earls Court, London from 27th-30th September and is expected to attract over 50,000 gamers.

As well as a show floor packed with playable games including Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Assassin’s Creed III, the Eurogamer Expo is famous for its developer sessions – unique opportunities for attendees to experience game presentations by renowned developers who typically only speak to press and industry in this format.

Speakers this year include Hideo Kojima (Kojima Productions), Frank O’Connor (343 Industries), Peter Molyneux (22 Cans) and Lorne Lanning (Oddworld Inhabitants), with the sessions showcasing games like Halo 4, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and more in intimate detail. The sessions also include open Q&A sessions so gamers can quiz their idols.
