GamesAid’s Biggest Week Ever!

GamesAid, a UK games industry charity for children and young people, has announced thanks to the efforts of its members and supporters it has raised over �80,000 in the last week.

GamesAids Biggest Week Ever!

The Develop Poker Night sponsored by Relentless Software and organised by Mark Ward raised £4,470.  The London 10K team of twelve runners sponsored by NCsoft with runners from Target Media, Bethesda, Konami, NCsoft and Microsoft raised £2,302.  Samantha Whale also ran the London 10K and raised £840. The GamesAid Quiz Night organised by Jamie Firth and Richie Churchill and sponsored by 505 Games raised £1,080. Add to this over £70,000 raised so far from The Gem GamesAid Golf & Spa day organised by Richard Stickler, Emilie George, Keeley Munden and Louise Powell and July has been a truly amazing month for GamesAid.

The nomination and voting process for the charities that the members of GamesAid will support in 2012/13 will be open on the 30th of July and will run for two weeks.  Anyone in the games industry can become a member of GamesAid and therefore nominate a charity to be put forward for the vote. Games industry people can become GamesAid members  online atwww.gamesaid.org.
