OnLive, Inc., the pioneer of cloud gaming, announced today that a full-featured demo of the long-awaited The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is available for FREE as of today EXCLUSIVELY on the OnLive Game Service, via a small browser download to almost any PC or Mac, or any HDTV via the OnLive Game System. This highly anticipated game from publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer Snowblind Studios will be available for purchase through OnLive in the UK on 25 November 2011, day and date with the console and PC release of the game. Players can immediately take heroic roles in the rich and iconic world of Middle-earth. Playing as Human, Elf or Dwarf, players can team up with friends online and take on Sauron’s forces as a band of uniquely skilled allies in a hitherto untold chapter of the War of the Ring. Drawing from both the books and the movies, the game tells the story of a desperate battle to preserve the North from Sauron’s far-reaching hand, bringing to life a tale only hinted at in the story we know so well.
