New content to expand Vana’diel, the vast world of the hugely popular MMORPG
London (March 1, 2010) – In conjunction with VanaFest, a fan event for players of the hugely popular MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing game) FINAL FANTASY� XI, Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of Square Enix� interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, announces the development of three new add-on scenarios, slated for launch throughout 2010. This content will introduce new stages for epic combat, providing high-level players with new equipment to collect and challenging monsters to battle.
The first of these three battle area add-on content packages will be entitled “Vision of Abyssea™”, and will be launched early in the summer of 2010. The other two releases, “Scars of Abyssea™” and “Heroes of Abyssea™” will follow. These content packages will be sold via the PlayOnline� Viewer, at the price of �7.99 (�9.99) with content available immediately after purchase.
The previously released expansion packs RISE OF THE ZILART™ and WINGS OF THE GODDESS™ will be required to experience this new content. These add-on scenarios will be released online, simultaneously in all supported regions (North America, Japan and Europe) across all supported platforms (Xbox 360�, Windows�).
