London, United Kingdom – Games and interactive entertainment trade body Ukie is pleased to be sponsoring the Indie Zone at the Games Britannia: REPLAYED festival taking place in Rotherham in July.
The Indie Zone will showcase some of the best Indie Games around, allowing gamers to get hands on with them. Amongst the developers showcasing their latest games are: Tom Francis (Gunpoint), Super Giant Games (Bastion), Big Robot (Fallen City), Going Loud Studios (DLC Quest), Mitu Khandaker (Redshirt), Wadjet (Resonance), Dan Atherton (Blast Off Billy), Strange Loop (Vessel), Exis (Majestic 12), Popcannibal (Girls Like Robots), Dakko Dakko (Floating Cloud Gods), Terry Kavanagh (VVVVVV and Hexagon), Papas Gong (various games), Mr Qwak (Retro Racing), Mike Bithnell (Thomas Was Alone), Jasper Byrne (Lone Survivor), The Steel Minions (BounceBack) and Utopian World of Sandwiches (Chompy Chomp Chomp).
The Indie Zone is part of Games Britannia: REPLAYED, taking place from the 7th – 8th July at the Magna Centre in Rotherham. Welcoming a diverse audience, Games Britannia: REPLAYED plays host to a wide range of games for families, casual and hard-core players, providing a host of immersive and exciting zones for everyone (www.gamesbritannia.com/replayed/).
Ukie will also be taking the opportunity to raise consumer awareness of PEGI age ratings and promote the new askaboutgames.com website, relaunching in July. The askaboutgames.com website will be an ongoing resource, providing information and tips for parents, and showcases of how playing video games is a collaborative and creative experience.
