“Mature” gaming community The Gaming Oldies are buzzing of the back of a marathon charity gaming session this weekend. The charity in question, [yarslink url=”http://www.uk-sands.org/”]UK SANDS[/url] will be getting well over £1500 for their charity as a result.
When we initially decided to help knibbler and knibbleret out with their challenge (original idea was to do a 24 hour Gaming Marathon, which we changed to 2 x 24 hour sessions lasting a full weekend) to raise money for SANDS, a charity that has been very helpful to them, we set ourselves a target of £500. We initially thought this was a little optimistic. However we were amazed that this amount was reached fairly quickly. The final amount raised was over 3 times our initial target which was simply amazing!
