To-Fu pinging his way to the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch (IOS)

HotGen Ltd, one of Europe’s most innovative game development studios, has today announced To-Fu: The Trials of Chi – and phenomenal new action puzzler, due for release this month.

Available on iPad, iPhone and iPod, ‘To-Fu: The Trials of Chi’ is an iOS game like no other, featuring a one-of-a-kind touch-screen mechanic that enables you to stretch and ‘ping’ the courageous To-Fu through each of the 100 levels.

The game’s control system couldn’t be more intuitive – negating the need for on-screen buttons – simply requiring the player to grab To-Fu with their finger, dragging him to stretch and releasing to ping. The adhesive To-Fu will stick to almost any surface.

‘To-Fu: The Trials of Chi’ has been designed as a truly universal experience for all types of gamer.
The player’s main objective is simple – to reach the mystical Fortune Kitty – however, more experienced gamers will enjoy the optional challenge of collecting the game’s 300 emblems. A challenge worthy of a master!

The 100 trials feature an abundance of obstacles that help create the crux of the addictive gameplay. Utilise the various surfaces that include crumbling blocks, conveyor belts, slippery glass and metal plates – that rebound To-Fu like a speeding bullet – as well as a host of treacherous booby traps that include circular saws, spikes, lasers, teleports, rotating platforms and more.

Each of the 100 trials presents the player with a unique challenge. Can you complete ‘Ultimate Ping’: the challenge of ricocheting To-Fu towards the Fortune Kitty using just one ping? Or how about ‘Safe Zone’: a trial that requires To-Fu to avoid dozens of electrifying laser beams?

“We hope that gamers enjoy playing the game as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it,” says Stuart Ryall (Lead Designer). “Our objective with To-Fu was simple: to create something that’s completely intuitive and accessible but without sacrificing on gameplay. I hope we’ve achieved that”.

To-Fu will be available later this month for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, price to be confirmed.
