Sony officially announced and named their motion sensing technology at the Games Developer Conference in San Francisco yesterday – the Sony Move. Despite inevitable comparisons to the Nintendo Wii, the Move offers several new innovations and a solid lineup of games aimed at the more hardcore market.
Oh, and the natty coloured ball? Well, that changes colour depending on the game and your surroundings, all controlled by the PS3 itself. It also provides a better point of reference for the camera, further increasing the quality of play.
The proposed launch titles are looking pretty good, with SOCOM making a welcome return, alongside fighter Motion Fighter and rail shooter The Shoot.
The Move is set to ship this Autumn, with an expected price of approximately £80, to include the controller, a Playstation Eye, and an undisclosed game.
