‘Dark Void’ pre-orderers gain jet pack…a GOLDEN jet pack (360, PC, PS3)

Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of videogames, can today announce the exciting details of the Dark Void pre-order scheme, which will reward early bird buyers with an in-game golden jetpack.

Dark Void’s jet pack is the game’s definitive feature, allowing the player to switch between run and gun, hover mode and full blown flight mode at the press of a button, and those that pre-order will be able to use a golden jet pack as they play. And it’s not all about the bling, as the golden jet pack will also feature infinite thrust in hover mode – a boon in any of the game’s thrilling vertical encounters.

Gamers in the UK will get access to this jet pack when they pre-order from any retail outlet. Mainland Europeans will also get the chance to obtain this jetpack, though precise details of which outlets are taking part in the scheme are yet to be confirmed.

Dark Void is a new sci-fi action-adventure game that combines an adrenaline-fuelled blend of aerial and on-foot combat set in a parallel universe called “The Void”. Players will take on the role of Will; a pilot who while on a routine air cargo flight crashes in the Bermuda triangle leaving him trapped in the Void. Will soon finds himself swept into a desperate struggle for survival at the head of a group called The Survivors. Trapped in the Void, these resistance fighters are battling to hold off a mysterious alien race that plans to threaten Earth.

Dark Void is out on January 15th 2010, for PS3, 360 and PC.
