While the Thermidoom factory has been busy making both friendly household appliances and dangerous military robots, they′ve also been carelessly polluting the nearby lake. Getting the worst of this is a lonely beaver, who has been horribly scarred and deformed by the toxins – and also made incredibly smart!
Not just another misunderstood villain who soliloquizes while his victims escape, the Brain Beaver used to be an ordinary rodent before pollution from the Thermidoom factory mutated him horribly. With his enormous, protruding frontal-lobes, not only is he unable to find a mate, he also is having a devil-of-a-time finding a hat that fits. And don′t even get him STARTED about his tail!…
Ostracized by the beaver community, the rodent has stolen Thermidoom′s robot plans, created his own killer droids, and now wants his revenge! It′s up to an environmentalist, a chili-making Special Forces agent, and a scientist who really loves robots to use their limited defenses and Hero bots to stop the Brain Beaver and set the world right!
DAVID SWIERCZYNSKI
The smoothest Environmental agent this side of the Love Canal, David Swazzu- ,Swizerr- , er.. Swierczynski… is a man on a mission – to stop industrial polluters in their tracks! His finger-pointing is aimed directly at Thermidoom, and he could do his job if that pesky Beaver wasn′t always getting in the way…
CONSTANCE MENZIES
In keeping with their policy of hiring only unbelievably-hot scientists, Constance Menzies is currently in charge of Thermidoom′s Testing Lab #2 – the Military Robots division. Very dedicated to her job, Constance is a girl who readily takes her work home with her… and not just because’ she′s “into” robots. She′s also interested in pneumatics, atom smashers, cruise missiles, and shoes.
Keef Razorback
Sgt. Keef Razorback is part of the US Army′s top-secret Delta Omega Gamma Squad – yes, the DOG squad – but if you call it that, they′ll have to kill you. While Keef keeps his activities on the down-low, he will occasionally rear his badly-shaven head at chili cookoffs and state fairs – most recently using his head-butting techniques to get ingredients for Fashionista-Chili.
Mr. Yellin
Yellin is the President of Thermidoom Labs – makers of fine military robots and home appliances. Despite having only 3 days without a “major situation that could lead to bad press,” this little man is able to both please his stockholders and simultaneously avoid huge environmental fines and jail time. This is the first time, however, he’s ever had his own machines used against him… as well as the first time he′s ever had a red-headed scientist!
HEROES
Heroes are the most powerful robots on the battlefield. They have advanced weapons and special abilities and can be upgraded during gameplay as they gain experience through kills.
JOE COMMANDO
Joe is a powerful, elite fighter who′s all red, white, and green. Equipped with Dual Chain Guns, when he really wants to turn up the juice Joe goes into Rampage Mode. When this special Ability is activated, his rate of fire increases and the enemy’s blood pressure goes up.
SERGEANT PAYNE
The Sarge is a Leader Hero, which gives him 2 Special Abilities. First, he can form a Squad – the basic soldiers on the field act as a team around Sarge at the press of an Icon. His second Ability is the War Shout, which temporarily increases the damage inflicted by the squad.
SPYDER SCOUT
Moving very quickly, Spyder is equipped with a Converter Cannon – a cryogenic gun that can turn a robot into a refrigerator for a short time. He has two Abilities – his Stealth Mode allows him to sneak around even the toughest enemy bosses, and his Fake HQ′s allow you to distract the enemy waves temporarily.
PYRO ASSAULT
Not surprisingly, Pyro′s main weapon is a flamethrower, affectionately called the Melter. His favorite time of battle is when he performs his Siege Mode Ability. His flamethrower gets a big power and range boost, and the marshmallows all get well-done.
VIPER THE SNIPER
Viper lives up to his name, picking off enemies with his long-range Sniper Rifle. He does this in the open or after activating his Detection Ability – where he becomes invisible for a short time. But his favorite toy is the WMD. Just when your enemy thinks they′re safe, an anvil drops from the sky!
WARLORD GENERAL
The General is a Leader Hero, who can also form squads of basic soldiers, with his main weapon being a Chainsaw. His secondary Ability is the Demoralizing Shout, which temporarily decreases the enemy′s ability to attack… and can often send them to therapy.
