Feral Interactive has announced Tuesday, January 6th as the worldwide release date for the much-anticipated Mac version of Black & White® 2, the real-time, strategy sequel to the critically acclaimed hit Black & White®, one of the best-selling Mac games of all time. The release coincides with the opening of exhibits at Macworld Expo 2009 in San Francisco, Calif. where attendees can experience the game for themselves at the Feral booth.
In addition, The Battle of the Gods expansion pack is included offering players a host of new challenges including the threat of a rival God.
“Black & White has achieved a phenomenal and long-lasting popularity on the Mac. We are confident that Black & White 2 will continue that success.” said Feral Interactive’s David Stephen.
The game will retail in North America for US $49.95, £29.95 (inc VAT) in the UK and 39.95 (inc VAT) throughout Europe. It is currently available to pre-order from Feral’s online store (www.feralinteractive.com/?section=buy&language=english).
In addition to buying through retailers and Feral’s online store January 6th, attendees at Macworld Expo in San Francisco, Calif. will be able to purchase and experience Black & White 2 for themselves at booth 2530 in the South Hall.
Minimum system requirements call for a 1.8GHz Intel Mac only, 512MB RAM, 128MB graphics card, DVD drive, 5.1 GB of hard disk space and Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later. The game does not support Intel GMA processors, but does run on Apple’s latest Macbook laptops equipped with GeForce 9400 M graphics cards.
