Viva Pinata Review (360)

Awwww its so cute!

Wow?.such pretty colours, such cuddly sprites?..

This is a game which MUST appeal to all ages, from kids to us adults (when did that happen, surely games are for us grown ups?).

It’s a cutesy game in real terms, but kinda like the sims for kids.

Designed together with the “Viva Piñata” Saturday morning 3-D animated TV series, this Xbox 360 game is a customizable, social and spontaneous game that invites players of all ages and skills to explore an immersive world where they are challenged to create and maintain a living garden ecosystem that grows in realtime.

It’s a cutesy game in real terms, but kinda like the sims for kids, or nintendogs if youre talking cute animals!

It’s easy to see how Viva Piñata will lure in Xbox 360 owners based solely on the strengths of its graphics. It’s the most colourfully graphical game I’ve ever seen, it keeps you hooked throughout, from bashing out your own little piñata ground to getting your very own eco-system, its sims reincarnated!

The many hours that you spend working in the garden will become quite the learning experience, as you discover something new with each day. You’ll first have to learn how to attract Piñatas to your garden, starting with the lowliest of Whirlms (the worms of Viva Piñata) and moving on up the food chain to the most impressive of fantastical creatures. You’ll take part in a full breeding simulation here, romancing Piñatas until they decide to dance, which prompts you to play a coin-collecting maze mini-game, which us game freaks love (we love da mini games!!!!!).

All in all, I love this game so much to give it a colourful score all round, a must for us BIG kids who are sick of shooting zombies or blasting aliens, and want some relaxation time??..

The Good: Colourful, long running game
The Bad: after about 10 hrs gameplay can get a bit too hard on the eyes!
